A die-hard fan of Sandalwood star Darshan, S Renukaswamy, was allegedly assaulted and murdered after a cab journey from Chitradurga to Bengaluru. The incident led to the arrest of Darshan, his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda, and 11 others. The cab driver, Ravi Shankar, surrendered to the police in Chitradurga after being named a suspect in the case.
